Barton Mews Lane sits just blocks from the Reynolda Park section of Buena Vista. The lane is still taking shape and is not yet open to visitors.
Details will be shared with those on the interest list first.
A neighbourhood that grew with the city
Buena Vista came into its own when Winston-Salem was bustling, carried forward by the growth of R.J. Reynolds above all.
That momentum shaped the streets. Grand estates rose here, a number of them designed by Charles Barton Keen and William Roy Wallace.
As times changed, the neighbourhood filled in with a broader variety of styles — smaller cottages and everything in between — all of it set beneath its generous tree canopy, with tulips and crepe myrtles in summer and chrysanthemums in autumn.
The six-acre site was hiding in plain sight — a perfect location for an upscale infill project. The Barton Mews team
